About this jar

A red barn on the counter: who lives in it?

This jar from Appletree Design is a whole red and brown barn, with farm animals worked into the design around it. You see a little farmyard first and a cookie jar second, which is exactly what a figural piece is for. It belongs in a country kitchen or with someone who grew up around barns.

It measures about 10.38 inches high, 9 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep, so it needs a deeper spot than a slim canister. The maker tells us nothing about the material or a seal on the lid. Fill it with cookies you go through quickly rather than a long-term stash.
