About this jar

The clear jar with the checkerboard lid

MacKenzie-Childs puts its signature checks on the lid and leaves the body plain glass, so you see the cookies and the pattern at once. This is the gallon-sized cookie jar. Courtly Check is black and white with a faux-cinnabar knob, and you can also pick gray Sterling Check, pink Rosy Check or purple Violet Check.

Each enamel lid is painted by hand, so the checks vary a little from one jar to the next. The Sterling and Violet lids carry a clear glass knob instead, and the Violet adds brass accents. It reads as a decorative piece on a coffee bar or a desk as much as a kitchen jar, and it fills well with candy or dog biscuits.
